One of my favorite things about leading UST's Playful Learning Lab and teaching in the Center for Engineering Education is the opportunity to meet and collaborate with incredible people, many of who are educators in a formal, or informal sense. We had four of playdates this fall, and they were so much fun that I am delighted to announce that the Playful Learning Lab will continue hosting monthly, free playdates for educators, artists, and makers who want to discuss, share, and try out, new ways of bringing joy and learning to our students. Spring 2017 Playdates at UST
Who is hosting? AnnMarie Thomas and the UST Playful Learning Lab
Who is invited? Formal and informal educators of all sort. Care about play and its role in learning? Then you are invited!
When will they be happening?

- Wednesday, March 15, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm
- Wednesday, April 12, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm
- Wednesday, May 17, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm
Where will the playdates happen?
We will be in the makerspace in the first floor of the Anderson Student Center on the St. Paul campus of the University of St. Thomas. What is a playdate?
Each session will include a hands-on project led by Playful Learning Lab students, as well as ample time for discussion. We will also have a Show and Tell and we invite you to email us if you have something you'd like to share! We will also have a snack and lots of time to meet each other.
